On July 5, an exchange event with students from Princeton in Ishikawa (PII) program was held at University Hall. 24 students from PII program and 28 students from Kanazawa University deepened their exchange. After a welcome speech by Vice-President Megumi Shimura, students from each side gave presentations on their studies and life at universities in the U.S. and Japan, etc. After enjoying a Latin music performance by PII participants, they wrote wishes on strips of colored paper called “Tanzaku” in different languages and hanged them on bamboo branches. At the end of the exchange, students vowed to see each other again.
※Princeton in Ishikawa (PII) program is an eight-week summer intensive program in Japanese language and culture at Ishikawa Foundation for International Exchange for students from Princeton University, Harvard University, Duke University etc.
