Reporting on the UNESCO/Japan ESD Award win to the Mayor of Hakusan City

 On November 22, Trustee Tatsuhiro Shiokawa, Associate Professor Aida Mammadova, and Associate Professor Tomoya Sato visited Hakusan City Hall to report to Hakusan City Mayor Toshikazu Tamura about receiving the UNESCO/Japan ESD Award with the project “Intergenerational Learning on ESD to revitalize remote communities inside Japanese UNESCO Biosphere Reserves and Geopark” (Award Ceremony: Paris, France). 
 In October 2015, Kanazawa University and Hakusan City signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement and have  been engaged in educational and research activities aimed to address challenges and revitalize the region in Hakusan City.

Kanazawa University and Hakusan city confirmed commitment to further enhance mutual collaboration and cooperation in addressing local challenges.
