Kanazawa University awarded an honorary doctorate to H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, the member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah on April 23, 2010.
Honorary doctorate, established in 1997, is to be awarded to an individual who has made achievements in the development of academic culture or international exchange and contributed to promoting the advancement of art and science in Kanazawa University. 8 persons have received since it established.
On the day, the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition, “The Arabian Heritage from Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates” (4/24 – 6/6, hosted by Emirate of Sharjah, Ishikawa Prefecture, and Kanazawa University) was held at Ishikawa-Ken History Museum. Also, the dynamic music performance was given by a group of Sharjah at Kakuma
Campus.

وسوف يقام معرض "التراث العربي من الشارقة" (24 نيسان – 6 تموز/ يوليو) الذي تنظمه كل من إمارة الشارقة و ولاية إيشيكاوا وجامعة كانازاوا في متحف التاريخ في إيشيكاوا- كن. وفي يوم حفلة منح شهادة الدكتوراه قامت الفرقة الموسيقية الشعبية من إمارة الشارقة بتقديم عروض موسيقية في مجمع كاكوما بجامعة كانازاوا واتحفت جمهور المشاهدين
