11月6日，人間社会3号館会議室にて，JICA北陸・金沢大学「基礎教育セクター支援事業教育行政官能力強化」コース開講式を行いました。
友部秀器JICA北陸支部長，山崎光悦理事（研究・国際担当）及びコースリーダーである人間社会研究域学校教育系の田邊俊治教授による歓迎のあいさつの後，コース研修員が自己紹介を行い，開講式は和やかなうちに終了しました。
これはJICAの委託事業で，昨年度まで6年間にわたって実施していた「サブ・サハラ地域における学校運営改善」（田邊教授）の実績を踏まえ，今年度新たに立ち上げられたものです。
モロッコにおける教育行政機関の行政官等計8名は，11月6日から約2週間，本学を拠点とし，石川県教育委員会をはじめ金沢市や白山市の教育委員会等の協力を得て，小・中学校等を参観するなど交流を深める予定です。参加者が積極的にこのコースでの経験を活かして，自国での学校運営改善に取り組むことが期待されます。
また，11月8日には，研修員らが中村信一学長を表敬訪問しました。中村学長があいさつを述べ，大学の概要について説明した後，懇談が行われました。
On November 6, the Opening Ceremony of JICA-Hokuriku and Kanazawa University’s Course for “Reinforcement of the Competence of School Administrators in the support services in Obligatory Education Sector” took place at Kanazawa University.
After welcomes speeches by our Vice President Koetsu Yamazaki (in charge of Research and International Affairs), Director Hideki Tomobe of JICA-Hokuriku, and the Program Leader, Professor Toshiharu Tanabe of the School of Teacher Education in the College of Human and Social Sciences, researchers participating in this time’s course introduced themselves, and the ceremony closed in an amiable mood.
Eight individuals belonging to central and regional educational administrations are participating from Morocco. From November 6, with Kanazawa University as the base and with support from Ishikawa Board of Education, Kanazawa Board of Education, Hakusan Board of Education and others, they plan to visit elementary and middle schools in Kanazawa for observation and interaction. There is much anticipation for the participants to positively utilize their experience in Japan and the course, and to involve themselves in the improvement of school management in their home countries.
Also, on November 8, the course participants paid a courtesy visit to our President. President Nakamura gave a word of welcome and a brief introduction of the university, which were followed by some questions from the participants and friendly conversations.
