5月24日，ベルギー王国大使館からエリザ・カスタルド公使参事官が来学し，志村恵副学長（国際担当）および安藤博国際部長と会談しました。令和2年度に続き2度目の来訪となるカスタルド参事官は，ベルギー王国をはじめとした世界各国と本学との学生交流に強い関心があり，コロナ禍においても協定校であるゲント大学やブリュッセル自由大学との継続的で活発な交流があることを喜んでいました。またベルギーが毎年募集している奨学金や，本学が現在検討しているゲント大学とのダブルディグリープログラムについて，意見が交わされました。
Deputy Head of Mission, Belgian Embassy Visits Kanazawa University
On May 24, Ms. Elisa Castaldo, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Belgium in Japan visited Kanazawa University and had a meeting with Prof. Megumi Shimura, Vice President for International Affairs, and Mr. Hiroshi Ando, Executive Director of International Relations Department. This is our 2nd time to welcome her on campus, with her last visit in September 2020. Ms. Castaldo is strongly concerned about our students’ international studies during the COVID-19 pandemic, and was glad to hear about our continuous active exchange with our partner universities in the Kingdom of Belgium, e.g., Ghent University and the Free University of Brussels. There were discussions about the scholarship offered by the French-Speaking Community of Belgium, the undertaking of DDP between Ghent university and KU, and other possibilities of further collaboration between institutions of higher education in the Kingdom of Belgium, and KU.
