国際機構は，リンナンコスケン高校（フィンランド），ビコール大学（フィリピン），サム・ラトゥランギ大学（インドネシア）とともに，「日本・インドネシア・フィリピン・フィンランドSDGs研修コース」をオンラインで開催し，金沢大学附属高等学校を含む4高校，3大学から32名が参加しました。
国際機構のママドゥーア・アイーダ准教授とリンナンコスケン高校のカロル・ゴー氏がコーディネートした本コースでは，参加者は生態圏保存地域（Biosphere Reserves ，BR） に関するオンデマンド教材を用いて，ユネスコ人間と生物圏プログラム(MABプログラム)や国立都市公園の理念を学びました。また日本の白山 BR，インドネシアのブナケン・タングココ・ミナハサBR，フィリピンのアルバイ BR，フィンランドのポルヴォー国立都市公園の事例が紹介され，保存地域内の地域コミュニティの活動について理解を深めました。また，高校生がそれぞれの保存地域についてプレゼンテーションを行い，他の参加者と環境と文化の保存の重要性について話し合いました。
オンライン講義「ユネスコ生物圏保存地域と国立都市公園における保存活動について」が開催されました。講義の冒頭では，ユネスコの Hans Thulstrup 博士（MAB ネットワーキング，生物圏保存およびキャパシティービルディング担当課長）が，開会のあいさつとして参加者を激励し，最後には，文部科学省国際統括官付国際統括官補佐の堀尾多香氏（日本ユネスコ国内委員会事務総長補佐）が，若者が環境と文化の保存への取組に参加することの重要性について述べました。
本研修コースでは，若い世代の参加者が，自分たちの環境や文化の保存について学び，今後，積極的に持続可能性と保存活動に取り組むきっかけとなったようでした。
Japan-Indonesia-Philippines-Finland Online Training Course towards SDGs
From 21st to 27th October, 2022, Kanazawa University, together with Linnankosken Lukio high school (Finland), Bicol University (Philippines), and University of Sam Ratulangi (Indonesia) organized the Japan-Indonesia-Philippines-Finland Online Training Course towards SDGs, with 32 participants from 4 senior high schools including Kanazawa University senior high school and 3 universities.
In this course, coordinated by Associate Professor, Mammadova Aida (Organization of global affairs, Kanazawa University) and Ms. Karol Go, (Linnankosken Lukio high school), participants studied the On-demand materials about Biosphere Reserves (BR), learned the concept of UNESCO Man and Biosphere Programme, and Urban National Parks. Case studies were introduced from Mt. Hakusan BR in Japan, the Bunaken Tangkoko Minahasa BR in Indonesia, Albay BR in Philippines and Porvoo National Urban Park in Finland, from which students learned about the activities of local communities inside protected areas. During the online lectures, students from senior high schools gave presentations regarding their protected areas and also discussed with other participants the importance of environmental and cultural conservation.
At the end of the course, the Online Meeting “Introduction to Conservation Practices in UNESCO Biosphere Reserves and National Urban Parks” was organized between all countries and participants. During the opening remarks Dr. Hans Thulstrup, Chief of Section for MAB Networking, Biosphere Reserves and Capacity Building, UNESCO, gave his greetings and encouragement for all participants, and at the end of the meeting Ms. Horio, Assistant Director-General for International Affairs（Assistant Secretary-General, Japanese National Commission for UNESCO）, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan, gave the inspiring comments about the importance of youth.
We hope that through this course the young generations will be more interested in protecting their environment and culture and will have the opportunity to actively engage in sustainability and conservation activities in the future.
