7月12日，「日・EUフレンドシップウィーク2016」のイベントとして，金沢大学附属図書館中央図書館において金沢大学EU情報センター講演会を開催し，教職員，学生ら約80名が参加しました。
講演会では，ハンス・カール・フォン・ヴェアテルン駐日ドイツ連邦共和国大使が「EUの現状と将来」と題した講演を行い，参加者からは積極的に質問が出されました。
また，講演会終了後には，ヴェアテルン大使ほか3名と山崎光悦学長，福森義宏理事（情報担当），山本博理事（国際担当）を交えて懇談が行われ，EUの現状やドイツと日本の高等教育制度についての活発な議論が交わされました。
On July 12, Kanazawa University EU Information Center hosted a special lecture at the Central Library as a part of “Japan-EU Friendship Week 2016 events”.
At the lecture, H.E. Dr. Hans Carl von Werthern, the German Ambassador to Japan, delivered a lecture titled “The Current Situation of EU and its Future” to the audience of about 80 participants including students and faculty members, and a very lively question and answer session followed.
After the lecture, the Ambassador and 3 other delegates had a meeting with President Koetsu Yamazaki, Dr. Yoshihiro Fukumori, Trustee for Information, and Dr. Hiroshi Yamamoto, Trustee for International Affairs, and there was positive discussion about the current situation of EU and the higher educational system in the two countries.
