7月8日，国際機構留学生センターは，石川県立能楽堂で「いしかわ金沢学」夏コースを開催し，本学の外国人留学生・日本人学生を含む参加者10名が，能と狂言の講義・体験・観賞からなる「能・狂言入門」に参加しました。
まず，宝生流の中村清先生，中谷信子先生から，能の成り立ち・特徴・所作や声の出し方を学ぶとともに，実際に舞台で使用する能面をつけたり，太鼓・鼓・笛などの和楽器を演奏したりしました。続いて，和泉流狂言師の能村祐丞先生から狂言のせりふや振り付けを教わり，簡単な実演を体験しました。参加者らはその後，狂言『因幡堂』と能『敦盛』の公演を鑑賞。能の公演では，宝生流シテ方能楽師で本学客員教授の藪俊彦先生が舞台を務めました。
参加者らは，能と狂言の第一線で活躍する先生方から直接指導を受けるという貴重な体験をするとともに，能・狂言の実技・鑑賞を通して，日本の伝統文化・芸能への理解を深めました。
On July 8, international and Japanese students of Kanazawa University (KU) took part in the Kanazawa Studies in Ishikawa Summer Course 2017 hosted by the International Student Center at the Ishikawa Prefectural Noh Theater.
In the first half of the class, the participants learned a history of Noh, its distinguishing characteristics, stage business, and vocal method from Mr. Kiyoshi NAKAMURA and Ms. Nobuko NAKATANI (Honsyoryu Shitekata). They also tried on masks and musical instruments such as drums and Japanese flutes. In the last half, Mr. Yujyo NOMURA, Izumi Kyogen Performing Artist, gave a lecture about Kyogen. The participants learned how to perform Kyogen through experience learning. The participants watched Kyogen, “INABADOU” and Noh, “ATSUMORI” after the sessions. Mr. Toshihiko YABU, Honsyoryu Shitekata Noh Performing Artist and Visiting Professor of KU, performed in the play of Noh.
The participants had a valuable experience that they cannot have elsewhere and gained a better understanding of Japanese traditional culture and performance.
