10月26日，JICA草の根技術協力事業「イフガオ里山マイスター養成プログラム」の研修生13名，昨年度の修了生2名，キアンガン町長およびイフガオ州大学の引率教員2名が来学し，山崎光悦学長を表敬訪問しました。
はじめに，訪問団代表でイフガオGIAHS持続発展協議会委員でもあるジョセリト G. グイグヨンキアンガン町長があいさつを行い，その後，研修生から自己紹介と研修への意気込みの表明があり，非常に和やかな雰囲気の中，活発な懇談が行われました。
10月22日に来日した訪問団は，28日まで能登での千枚田見学や農家訪問などを含むプログラムに参加しました。本研修を通して参加者が積極的に日本での経験などを生かしながら自国で里山マイスターとしての活動に取り組むことが期待されます。
On October 26, 13 trainees of Ifugao Satoyama Meister Training Program, 2 alumni of last year’s program, Mayor of Kiangan Town and 2 chaperone faculty members of Ifugao State University visited Kanazawa University and paid a courtesy visit to President Koetsu Yamazaki.
At the meeting, Mr. Joselito G. Guyguyon, Mayor of Kiangan and a member of Ifugao GIAHS Sustainable Development Committee offered his greetings on behalf of the delegation, followed by self-introduction of each trainee, and active conversation took place until the closing time.
The trainees arrived in Japan on October 22, and they will take part in the program until October 28. The program agenda includes visit to Noto senmaida (rice terraces) and farmers’ houses. The trainees are expected take advantage of their experience in Japan and to involve themselves in activities as Satoyama Meister in their home country.
