10月16日，駐日欧州連合代表部から一等参事官・科学・イノベーション・デジタル・その他EU政策部部長のゲディミナス・ラマナウスカス氏が来学しました。向智里理事，福森義宏理事と会談し，金沢大学および本学ナノ生命科学研究所とEUとの共同研究の進展状況と，今後のさらなる可能性について議論が交わされました。
続いて，医薬保健研究域医学系の河﨑洋志教授，総合メディア基盤センターの笠原禎也教授，ナノマテリアル研究所の德田規夫教授が研究を紹介し，EUとの共同研究を推進するための具体的な要望が提案され，意見交換が行われました。本学とEUとの研究ネットワークのさらなる発展が期待されます。
On October 16, Dr. Gediminas Ramanauskas, First Counsellor and Head of Science, Innovation, Digital, and Other EU Policies Section of Delegation of the European Union to Japan, visited the Trustees, Dr. Chisato Mukai and Dr. Yoshihiro Fukumori. At the meeting, there were discussions about collaborations between EU and Kanazawa University, Nano Life Science Institute(WPI-NanoLSI).
After that, Prof. Hiroshi Kawasaki, Prof. Yoshiya Kasahara and Prof. Norio Tokuda introduced their researches, then suggested concretely how to enhance EU-Japan research collaboration and frankly exchanged their opinions with Dr. Ramanauskas. Our research networks for EU will be developed much further.
