金沢大学中国同窓会から，マスクが不足している日本の状況を憂慮し，本学の教育活動に役立ててほしいと，マスク2万枚をご寄付いただきました。
本学中国同窓会は，2014年11月に中国・同済大学の王安麟（おうあんりん）教授を会長として設立されました。その後，本学中国同窓会は6支部に拡大し，現在会員は275名を数えます。
マスクの不足により，本学学生の大学での講義受講に支障が出ることを心配した同窓生らが，現地で2万枚のマスクを調達し，本学に送り届けてくれました。
現在，本学の授業はオンラインでの実施に限られていますが，対面での授業が可能になった際には，特に実験やフィールドワークに関する授業を受ける学生が着用するなど，今回寄付されたマスクを利用し，感染症予防に役立てる予定です。
The Kanazawa University China Alumni Association has donated 20,000 masks to KU due to concerns about the shortage of masks in Japan, and wanting to be helpful in our educational activities.
The Kanazawa University China Alumni Association was founded in November, 2014 with Professor Anlin Wang of Tongji University, China as the chairperson. Since then, the Kanazawa University China Alumni Association has expanded to 6 branches, and currently has 275 members.
Alumni who were worried that the lack of masks would hinder our students from taking lectures at the university, procured 20,000 masks locally and sent them to our university.
Currently, our classes are limited to online classes. Thus, when face-to-face classes become possible, these masks will be used for preventing infectious diseases, especially for students taking classes on experiments and fieldwork.
