「さくら」は来日当初の外国人児童に，日本語能力の向上と普通学級で学習活動に参加できる能力の育成を目標とし，主に日本語初期指導や日本語能力向上に特化した指導および日本の学びや習慣等の教育を重点的に行います。その後，普通学級へ原則同年齢学年に編入することを目的とします。ひとりひとりに教育課程（特別の教育課程）をつくり普通学級への通級をしながら個に応じた教育を行います。
また，日本語教育が必要な外国人児童に対し重点的に指導を行うことにより，日本の生活や日本の学びに早く適応させ，児童の心身の安定にもつながると期待しています。更に，本校児童においては外国人児童と協働し共に学ぶことより，グローバルな視野を広げ，教育方針の「多様性を活用する力の育成」につながると期待しています。「さくら」在籍期間は個に応じて半年又は1年としますが，普通学級編入後も必要に応じて「さくら」へ通級および支援を行います。
「さくら」入学を希望する方は，募集要項，入学条件を理解し，2021年11月1日～12月10日の間に，入学願書を本校まで提出してください。願書提出は郵送，メール添付も可能です。

Opened in April 2022, Kanazawa University Elementary School Japanese adaptation class "Sakura"
"Sakura" aims to improve Japanese language proficiency and develop the ability to participate in learning activities in ordinary classes for foreign children who have come to Japan lately. We mainly teach initial Japanese language and specializes in improving Japanese language proficiency and focus on education such as Japanese customs. After that, our goal is to transfer foreign students in Sakura to a regular class of students the same age. We will create an educational curriculum (special curriculum) for each person and provide education according to each individual while attending regular classes.
In addition, by concentrating on teaching to foreign children who need Japanese language education, we expect that they will quickly adapt to Japanese life and learning in Japan and will lead to the physical and mental stability of children. Furthermore, we expect that our school children current student will broaden their global horizons and lead to "cultivation of the ability to utilize diversity" in their educational policies by collaborating with foreign children and learning together.
Depending on the individual Japanese language skills, students will be enrolled for half a year or one year in Sakura, but even after transferring to a regular class, we will continue to offer the support as needed.
If you would like to enroll your child in “Sakura”, be sure to read the application guidelines carefully. Please note that the admission application form should be submitted to our school from November 1st to December 10th, 2021.
