科学誌Natureの専属講師による研究費(グラント)申請書執筆技術向上のためのワークショップ「Nature Research Academies – Effective Grant Writing」を2023年3月13日に開催します。
詳細は以下の通りです（添付ファイルもご覧ください）。事前課題や講師・参加者間の積極的な関わりも含めたワークショップにより、研究資金獲得のための説得力ある研究課題設定と競争力ある研究計画書の執筆をするための実用的な戦略・方法について学べます。
今後研究費やフェローシップへ応募予定の方、研究費獲得技術を向上させたい方はご予定を確保の上奮ってお申込み・ご参加ください。

【重要・補足】
※ 本ワークショップは、日本学術振興会の科研費を題材にしていますが、他のグラントやフェローシップに応募する際にも役立つ一般的なGrant Writingのノウハウも学べます。

※ また、現在、日本学術振興会特別研究員（DC、PD、RPD等）が公募されています。応募される方も多いのではないでしょうか？学振特別研究員の申請書は、科研費の申請書（研究計画調書）と共通する点も多いので、本ワークショップで学んだノウハウが参考になるかと思います。
一方、学振特別研究員に応募されるということは、研究者を目指されている方も多いかと思います。その場合は、学振特別研究員を獲得された後も、研究を継続・発展させるために、研究計画書（プロポーザル）を書いて研究費を獲得する競争は続きます。それらを勝ち抜いていくためにこの機会に効果的なGrant Writingのノウハウを学んでみませんか？

対象分野：全研究分野

開催形態：英語でオンライン開催（２つのWebinar１＆２、定員250名）
※ 講師が話した内容は画面にリアルタイムで英語で表示もされます。なので、アカデミックな英語を聞き取る練習にもなります!

参加対象：本学に在籍する研究者・教員、博士後期課程・博士課程の大学院生、
　　　　　博士後期課程・博士課程進学希望の博士前期課程・修士課程の大学院生、URA・研究支援者

参加条件：都合の合うWebinarはリアルタイムで参加すること。
　　　　　都合の合わないWebinarのみ録画で視聴すること。
　　　　　※ 登録者は後日各Webinarの録画を見られます。

　　　　　 また、リアルタイムで参加したWebinarも録画の視聴で復習して頂けます。

Dear graduate students, researchers, and faculty members

On 13th March 2023, we will hold the workshop on skills to write grant proposals “Nature Research Academies – Effective Grant Writing” to be delivered by the instructor of the international scientific publisher Nature Research.
Details are shown below (Please also see the attached file). The workshop includes pre-work activities and interactive involvement between the instructor and participants. Thereby, you can learn practical strategies and methods for selecting compelling research topics and writing competitive proposals.
If you are planning to apply for grants and/or fellowships in future, or if you would like to improve your skills to write research proposals, please make sure to secure your schedule for the workshop and register now.

★[Important NOTE]★
*This workshop will use the JSPS’s Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (called KAKENHI (科研費) in Japanese; major grant in Japan) as a model case/example, but you can also learn general grant writing skills that will be useful and applicable when applying for other grants and fellowships.

Target research fields: All research fields

Workshop format: Online (2 Webinars) in English* (up to 250 participants)

Eligible participants:
Researchers and URAs affiliated to Kanazawa University (faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, doctoral students, master’s students wishing to go to a doctoral course, URAs)

Participation requirement:
You must attend as many Webinars as possible in real time and watch the recordings* of the Webinars that you cannot attend in real time.
* NOTE: Registered people can watch recording of each Webinar at a later date.
