2月8日，ロシア・カザン大学のIlshat Gafurov学長とDimitrii Tayurskii教授が，本学中村信一学長を表敬しました。
カザン大学とは1993年に理学部と部局間交流協定を締結し，1998年に大学間交流協定を締結しました。以来，教員と学生の交流が続いています。
本学からは中村学長をはじめ，長野勇理事（研究・国際担当），山崎光悦理工研究域長，山本博医薬保健研究域長，福森義宏自然科学研究科長，理工研究域の松本宏一教授らが同席しました。両大学は工学・医学の分野で協力していくことで同意しました。
On February 8th, Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Prof. Dmitrii Tayurskii from Kazan Federal University (Russia) met President of Kanazawa University.
In 1993, Faculty of Science of Kanazawa University and Kazan Federal University concluded the Agreement at faculty level. This was upgraded to a university level agreement in 1998. Since then, mutual exchange of teachers and students has continued between the two universities.
President Shin-ichi Nakamura, Vice President Isamu Nagano in charge of Research and International Affairs, Prof. Koetsu Yamazaki, Dean of Institute of Science and Engineering, Prof. Hiroshi Yamamoto, Dean of Institute of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences, Prof. Yoshihiro Fukumori, Dean of Natural Science and Technology, Prof. Koichi Matsumoto from Institute of Science and Engineering, along with other members attended the meeting. Both universities agreed to continue cooperation in the fields of engineering and medicine.
