6月24日，大学間交流協定校であるモンゴル国立医科大学から，ニャムダヴァー・フレルバータル学長，グンチン・バトバータル副学長，日本モンゴル病院のメンデジャルガル・アディルサイハン病院長が来学し，和田隆志学長を表敬訪問しました。モンゴル唯一の国立医科大学であるモンゴル国立医科大学は４つの大学病院を有し，なかでも2019年10月に日本の無償資金協力で建設されたモンゴル国立医科大学日本モンゴル病院は，今年2月，モンゴル政府教育科学省よりモンゴル国立医科大学に移管され，大学病院としてますますの発展が期待されています。同大学では英語で実施される授業も多く，海外からの研究者や留学生を数多く受け入れており，今後日本からの受け入れを大いに期待しているとの説明がありました。ニャムダヴァー・フレルバータル学長は，過去に厚生省厚生大臣を務めたこともあり，現在はモンゴルの国立大学6大学で構成される組織の長でもあります。そのためモンゴル国立医科大学を通じて，他の国立大学とも交流を進めることについて活発な意見が交わされました。
President of Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences visits Kanazawa University
On June 24, Prof. Khurelbaatar Nyamdavaa, President of Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS), Prof. Batbaatar Gunchin, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dr. Adilsaikhan Mendjargal, Director of the Mongolia-Japan Hospital of MNUMS, paid a courtesy visit to President Takashi Wada. MNUMS is the only national medical university in Mongolia and operates 4 affiliated hospitals. Among them, the Mongolia-Japan Hospital of MNUMS, which opened in 2019 with the support of JICA, was originally under the Ministry of Education and Science. It has been under MNUMS since February this year, and is expected to develop further as a university hospital. There are many classes offered in English at MNUMS, which enables it to accept many researchers and students from overseas, and they would like to accept more from Japan too. President N. Khurelbaatar once served as the Minister of Health of the Mongolian Ministry of Health, and currently also serves as the board chairman of a coalition of six national universities in Mongolia. There was a lively discussion about promoting exchanges with other national universities through the MNUMS.
