環日本海域環境研究センターは，6月28日～7月5日の8日間，サマースクール2022を開催し，モンゴル国立大学（モンゴル），Yale NUS college（シンガポール），国立台湾大学（台湾）から学生ら一行が参加しました。
新型コロナウイルス感染症による影響から3年ぶりに海外機関の学生を迎えて実施したサマースクールでは，能登の臨海実験施設，能登学舎で地形や海洋生物学，里山・里海のマネージメントについて学び，また，兼六園周辺では日本文化を体験しました。参加した学生らは，本学の研究内容に強い関心があり，今回対面での交流，実習などが行えたことを大変喜んでいました。最終日には，参加学生によるプレゼンテーションが行われ，海洋，大気や地質に関する研究など幅広い分野の学修成果を共有しました。その後，志村恵副学長（国際担当）から学生らへ修了証の授与が行われ，サマースクールの感想などについて懇談しました。
なお，本学は2016年度から引き続き，科学技術振興機構の「国際青少年サイエンス交流事業（さくらサイエンスプログラム）」に採択されており，本サマースクールはこの事業の一環で行われました。
A group from the National University of Mongolia, Yale NUS college, and National Taiwan University Visited Kanazawa University
A group from the National University of Mongolia (Mongolia), Yale Nus college (Singapore), and Taiwan National University (Taiwan), had been visiting Kanazawa University to participate the Summer School 2022 organized by the Institute of Nature and Environmental Technology. The participation of international guests in the summer school was the first time in these three years due to the influence of Covid-19. They were very interested in the research content of the university and were very pleased to be able to have face-to-face exchanges and practical training. They exchanged opinions on research areas related to the oceans, atmosphere and geology. They had a meeting with Vice President Megumi Shimura (International Affairs) and certificates were awarded.
This summer school was supported by the "Sakura Science Exchange Program" funded by the Japan Science and Technology Agency.
