12月18日に，理系分野のタイ人高校生を対象とした，オンライン研究コンテスト「KAGAYAKI AWARD 2022」を国立六大学国際連携機構(SixERS)との共催により，開催しました。本コンテストは今年度で三回目の開催となります。
コンテストでは，応募総数23チームの中から書類審査を経て選抜されたファイナリスト6チームが英語で研究発表を行い，審査員による最終審査の結果，優勝チームが決定しました。
また，最終審査と並行して行われた学生交流会では，ファイナリスト6チームと国立六大学の学生6人で，自己紹介や各学校の紹介等を行うことで，日本留学の魅力を発信・共有する貴重な交流の場となりました。
2023年3月には，タイ現地の日本留学希望者や日本に留学中のタイ人留学生等を対象とした留学・就職フェアの開催を予定しています。
Online Research Contest “KAGAYAKI AWARD 2022”
On December 18, we hosted Online Research Contest “KAGAYAKI AWARD 2022” for Thai high school students majoring in science field.
This contest was held for the third time this year and was held online in collaboration with SixERS. Six finalist teams were selected from a total of 23 teams that applied for the competition through a document screening process, and after the final screening by judges, one team was selected as the 1st prize winner.
The event was facilitated by local staff from the university’s Bangkok office, with the cooperation of faculty members from six national universities. Following the research presentations, a student exchange meeting was held in parallel with the final screening, where the six finalist teams and six students from the six national universities introduced themselves and their schools, providing a valuable opportunity to communicate and share the appeal of studying in Japan.
We are planning to hold a Study and Job in Japan Fair in March 2023 for Thailand. Despite today’s uncertain outlook, we will continue our efforts to promote Study in Japan.
