10月11日，12日，北京語言大学を会場として第1回中国言語資源国際学術シンポジウムを開催しました。本シンポジウムは本学と北京語言大学との共同開催で，開会式では，北京語言大学党書記・李宇明教授の挨拶に続き，山崎光悦学長の祝辞を歴史言語文化学系・岩田礼教授が代読しました。シンポジウムは言語資源調査研究の理念，方法，技術および漢語方言文化の保護，保存を主要テーマとし，李宇明教授による記念講演に引き続いて漢語方言および周辺言語の記録，保護，保存について40篇の論文が発表されました。なお，シンポジウムに先立ち10日には，岩田教授が北京語言大学・崔希亮教授を表敬訪問し，山崎学長の親書を手渡しました。
On October 11 and 12, the First International Symposium on Chinese Language Resources took place at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). The symposium was co-hosted by Kanazawa University and BLCU, and at the opening ceremony, Professor Rei Iwata read the congratulatory address by President Koetsu Yamazaki as his proxy, following the opening address by Professor Li Yuming, CPC Secretary of BLCU. The theme of the symposium included the philosophy, method, and technique of language resource survey and research, as well as protection and maintenance of the Chinese dialect culture. Following Professor Li’s keynote lecture, 40 papers on recording, protection and preservation of Chinese dialects were presented. Also, on October 10, prior to the symposium, Professor Iwata paid a courtesy visit to President Cui Xiliang of BLCU, and hand-delivered the letter from President Yamazaki.
