金沢大学長 和田隆志
On behalf of Kanazawa University, I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake. My prayers go out to everyone impacted by the disaster for a rapid recovery and restoration of normalcy in their lives.
It has been two weeks since the catastrophic earthquake on January 1. Kanazawa University established a disaster countermeasure headquarter immediately after the disaster, and was involved in confirming the safety of our students, pupils and faculty staff. We still remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of our facilities as well.
In these challenging times, the continuous support and sympathy delivered from many individuals greatly encouraged us. We would like to express our deepest gratitude for it.
On January 4, classes started online, and face-to-face classes have been conducted as usual since January 15, taking the circumstances into consideration.
We will continue to stand by all of our members as well as the affected areas, and will do our utmost to recover from the disaster and provide support. Once again, we greatly appreciate your understanding and encouragement.
