11月1日，第9回金沢大学ホームカミングデイの開催に併せて「第4回留学生ホームカミングデイシンポジウム」を開催し，学内外から留学生同窓生，留学生ら約100名が参加しました。
シンポジウムでは，まず山本博理事(国際・同窓会担当)・副学長から，歓迎のあいさつがありました。
続いて，本学外国人同窓生でタイ同窓会会長のパーサコーン・キティヨドム博士（ジオテクニカルファンデーションエンジニアリング社・エグゼクティブディレクター），中国同窓会会長の王安麟（おうあんりん）教授（同済大学工程機械研究院院長）および来年1月に設立を予定しているインドネシア同窓会の会長となるバンドン工科大学のアチェプ・プルコン准教授が，本学での留学経験，これまでの本学との交流などについて講演しました。
途中，馳浩文部科学大臣が視察し，また，留学生同士も活発に交流する姿が見られるなど，次回の再会を約束し，閉会となりました。
On November 1, “The Forth International Student Homecoming Day Symposium” took place together with the Ninth Homecoming Day, and approximately 100 persons including international alumni, international students, etc. attended from within and outside the university.
At the beginning, Vice President Hiroshi Yamamoto delivered a welcome address.
He was followed by our alumni, Dr. Pastsakorn Kitiyodom, Chairman of Alumni Association in Thailand (currently Executive Director of Geotechnical & Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd), Prof. Anlin Wang, Chairman of Alumni Association in China (currently the Director of School Construction Machinery, Tongji University), and Assoc. Prof. Acep Purqon, Chairman-to-be of Alumni Association in Indonesia (currently an associate professor of Bandun Institute of Technology),which will be established January next year.
Mr. Hiroshi Hase, the Minister of MEXT, stopped by at this event. Many international students enjoyed active conversations, and the Homecoming Day closed with a promise of another meeting next year.
