9月19日，ガブリエル・ドゥケ駐日コロンビア共和国特命全権大使が来学し，「こんにちのコロンビア－文化・経済・社会－」と題した特別講演を行いました。講演後には，参加者から積極的な質問が出されました。
また，講演会に先立ち，ドゥケ大使は山崎光悦学長を表敬訪問し，コロンビアの歴史や現状，日本との交流についての懇談が行われました。
On September 19, H. E. Dr. Gabriel Duque, the Columbian Ambassador to Japan, visited Kanazawa University and delivered a special lecture titled “Columbia Today: Culture, Economy and Society.” A very lively question and answer session followed.
Prior to the lecture, the Ambassador paid a courtesy visit to President Koetsu Yamazaki, and there were positive discussions about the history and the current situation in Columbia and the exchanges with Japan.
