6月26日，ロシア・サンクトペテルブルク国立大学において，本学とサンクトペテルブルク国立大学とのジョイントシンポジウムを開催し，本学から山崎光悦学長ほか13名の教職員と5名の大学院生が参加しました。
シンポジウムは，山崎学長とサンクトペテルブルク国立大学のアンドリューシン・セルゲイ副学長のあいさつに始まり，その後研究分野ごとに3グループに分かれ，両大学の教員・研究者が各自の研究について発表。続いて，本学の大学院生による自身の研究に関するポスタープレゼンテーションがありました。
また同日には，山崎学長らがクロパチェフ・ニコライ学長を表敬訪問し，両大学の今後の交流について意見交換を行いました。
本シンポジウムをきっかけに，両大学の共同研究や研究協力がより一層活発になることが期待されます。
On June 26, St. Petersburg-Kanazawa Universities Joint Symposium took place at Saint Petersburg State University, Russia. President Koetsu Yamazaki, 13 faculty and staff and 5 graduate students from Kanazawa University participated in the event.
President Yamazaki and Vice Rector Sergey Andryushin opened the Symposium, and the researchers from both universities made presentations on their researches in three groups classified by research area. KU Graduate students also made poster presentations on their researches.
Also, on this day, President Yamazaki paid a courtesy visit to Rector Nikolay Kropachev, and there were discussions about the future collaboration between the two universities.
It was an essential opportunity to promote research exchanges and collaborations.
