11月2日，第2回留学生ホームカミングデイシンポジウムを開催し，学内外から60名が参加しました。
シンポジウムでは，まず山崎理事(研究･国際担当)・副学長から，今年設立されたベトナム同窓会およびミャンマー同窓会，また，日々発展する本学の国際化の現状について報告がありました。
続いて本学同窓生でケニア中央医学研究所寄生･感染症プログラム委員長でマニトバ大学准教授のエリジャ・マリティム・ソンゴク博士，およびパナソニック株式会社エコソリューションズ社ものづくり革新本部のイー・ヘリ氏が，「金沢大学で学んだこと，求めること」をテーマにそれぞれ講演しました。
参加した同窓生や留学らは久しぶりの再会を喜び合い，交流を深めました。
On November 2, “The Second International Student Homecoming Day Symposium” took place together with the Seventh Homecoming Day, and 60 persons attended from within and outside the university.
At the beginning, Vice President Yamazaki reported the present state of Kanazawa University such as the foundation of Kanazawa University Alumni in Myanmar and Vietnam, etc.
Afterwards, our alumni, Dr. Elijah Maritim Songok, Chairperson of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases Program, Kenya Medical Research Institute and Assistant Professor of the University of Manitoba and Ms. Haeree Lee from Manufacturing Innovation Division, Panasonic Eco Solutions Co. gave lectures on the theme, “What I Pursued and Learned at Kanazawa University.”
Many alumni and international students enjoyed reunion with familiar faces, and the Homecoming Day closed with a promise of another meeting next year.
