10月11日，タイ・プリンスオブソンクラ大学国際担当学長補佐一行が，長野勇理事（研究・国際担当）を表敬訪問しました。シリスワポン国際担当学長補佐ならびにテカサクル研究推進室長の訪問団一行は，今回本学との交流と意見交換を通じて，本年3月に締結した大学間交流協定と学生交流の覚書に基づく交流の促進を確認するとともに，今後の具体的な関係発展に寄与するために来日しました。本学からは山崎光悦理工研究域長，古内正美理工研究域環境デザイン学系教授，大谷吉生理工研究域自然システム系教授，塚脇真二環日本海域環境研究センター教授が同席しました。今後の交流の具体化に向け充実した協議となりました。
On Tuesday, October 11, the Advisor to the President for External Relations of Prince of Songkla University in Thailand and the other delegate paid a courtesy visit to Vice President Nagano. The delegates, Advisor Sirisuwapong and Dr. Tekasakul of Research and Development Office, visited our university in order to confirm the promotion of exchange based on the Agreement and the Memorandum which were signed in March this year through this interaction and discussion, and to contribute to the development of our relationship. From our university, Dean Kouetsu Yamazaki of the Institute of Science and Engineering, Professor Masami Furuuchi of the Faculty of Environmental Design, Professor Yoshio Otani of the Faculty of Natural System, and Professor Shinji Tsukawaki of the Institute of Nature and Environmental Technology were in attendance. A substantial discussion was held to embody future interactions.
