JICA北陸・金沢大学「サブ・サハラアフリカ地域における学校運営改善Ⅱ」コースを開講 JICA-Hokuriku and Kanazawa University’s “Improvement of School Management in Sub-Saharan Africa II” Course Begins

9月5日,人間社会3号館会議室にて,JICA北陸・金沢大学「サブ・サハラアフリカ地域における学校運営改善Ⅱ」コース開講式を行いました。
友部秀器JICA北陸支部長,長野勇理事(研究・国際担当)及びコースリーダーである人間社会研究域の田邊俊治教授による歓迎のあいさつの後,コース研修員が自己紹介を行い,開講式は和やかなうちに終了しました。
このコースは,フェーズⅡの3回目として行うもので,フェーズIからの通算では,今年で6回目となります。アフリカ4カ国(マラウイ,エチオピア,ガーナ,ザンビア)における教育行政機関の行政官等計12名が,9月5日午後から10月6日までの約1ヵ月間,本学を拠点とし,石川県教育委員会をはじめ金沢市や白山市の教育委員会等の協力を得て,小・中学校等を参観するなど交流を深める予定です。このコースを通して参加者が積極的に日本の経験等を活かしながら,自国での学校運営改善に取り組むことが期待されます。
また,これに先立ち,研修員らが中村信一学長を表敬訪問しました。中村学長があいさつを述べ,大学の概要について説明した後,懇談が行われました。

On September 5, the Opening Ceremony of JICA-Hokuriku and Kanazawa University’s “Improvement of School Management in Sub-Saharan Africa II” Course took place in the Meeting Room of Building 3, College of Human and Social Sciences of Kanazawa University. After welcomes speeches by our Vice President Isamu Nagano (in charge of Research and International Affairs), Director Hideki Tomobe of JICA-Hokuriku, and the Program Leader, Professor Toshiharu Tanabe of the School of Teacher Education in the College of Human and Social Sciences, researchers participating in this time’s course introduced themselves, and the ceremony closed in an amiable mood. Regarding the course, this year marks the third session in Phase II, and it is the sixth session counting from Phase I. Twelve individuals belonging to central and regional educational administrations are participating from four African nations (Malawi, Ethiopia, Ghana, and Zambia). From the afternoon of September 5 to October 6, with Kanazawa University as the base and with support from Ishikawa Board of Education, Kanazawa Board of Education, Hakusan Board of Education and others, they plan to visit elementary and middle schools in Kanazawa for observation and interaction. There is much anticipation for the participants to positively utilize their experience in Japan and the course, and to involve themselves in the improvement of school management in their home countries. Also, preceding the ceremony, the course participants paid a courtesy visit to our President. President Nakamura gave a word of welcome and a brief introduction of the university, which were followed by some questions from the participants and friendly conversations.
