6月23日，サウジアラビア・北部国境大学タラール工学部長が，長野勇副学長（研究・国際担当）を表敬訪問しました。山崎光悦理工研究域長が本学及び理工研究域の概要について説明を行い，本学との教育及び研究分野における交流促進に向けて意見交換を行うなど，今後の交流の具体化に向け充実した機会となりました。
On June 23, 2011, Talal M-N Abu Mansour, Dean of Faculty of Engineering at Northern Border University in Saudi Arabia, paid a courtesy visit to Vice President Nagano (in charge of Research and International Affairs). Koetsu Yamazaki, Dean of College of Science and Engineering, did a presentation of Kanazawa University and the College of Science and Engineering, and ideas were exchanged to encourage interaction between the two universities in education and research fields. The meeting was a substantial step toward concrete future interactions.
