9月15日,金沢大学において,平成28年度前期(第4期)官民協働海外留学支援制度(トビタテ!留学JAPAN日本代表プログラム)第4期生募集学生向け説明会&ワークショップ(金沢会場)を開催し,11大学26名の学生が参加しました。
これは,文部科学省高等教育局学生・留学生課官民協働海外留学創出プロジェクトチームが主催し全国8都市で開催したもので,本制度へ応募を検討している学生が将来の夢を明確にし,先輩学生からアドバイスをもらいながら留学計画のブラッシュアップを行うことを目的としたものです。
官民協働海外留学支援制度(トビタテ!留学JAPAN日本代表プログラム)は,文部科学省が若者の留学を官民共同で応援し,日本の産業界が求めるグローバル人材を育成するという平成26年度から始まった給付型奨学金制度です。本プログラムの選考に合格した学生は,事前研修・事後研修に参加することができ,留学中も手厚い奨学金(月額12~20万円),渡航費,研修参加費,授業料等の支援を受けることができます。 本学では,第1期~第3期で計14名の合格者を出しています。
On September 16, Kanazawa University hosted workshop sessions on “FY2016 The 4th Japan Public-Private Partnership Student Study Abroad Program: TOBITATE! Young Ambassador Program.”26 students from 11 universities attended the workshop.
The sessions were organized by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology-JAPAN (MEXT) and held in 8 cities in Japan. The sessions were aimed to encourage application for the scholarship. The session included the activities such as the articulation of the one’s dream, listening the advices from the previous successful applicants and brushing up the one’s plan for study abroad.
“Japan Public-Private Partnership Student Study Abroad Program: TOBITATE! Young Ambassador Program,” was established by MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in JAPAN) in 2014 with the funds of Japanese companies, and aims to promote study abroad opportunities and develop Japanese students’ abilities to become future leaders sought by industries. The successful applicants receive the support from MEXT such as monthly stipend (¥120,000 ~ ¥200,000), travel expense for study abroad, travel expense for prior and follow-up workshops, and tuition fee. Kanazawa University has produced 14 successful candidates of this program since 2014(from the 1st to 3rd program).
