About Us
Kanazawa University is the leading university on the Sea of Japan coast with roots going back to the Medical Training Place sponsored by the Lord of Kaga and established in 1862. Now with 1,100 faculty and 12,200 students, the University offers courses in specialties ranging from medicine and pharmacy to humanities and physical sciences, and contributes greatly to Japanese higher education and academic research.
Organization of Frontier Science and Innovation (O-FSI) is a specially-established research management organization chaired directly by the vice-president of Research and International Affairs.

- Coordination of International Research Cooperation
- Pre-award Grants Administration
- Post-award Grants Administration
- Research Project Planning and Implementation
- Support for Industry-University Cooperative Research
- Research Ethics Management, Research Safety Management, or Conflict of Interest Administration
- Intellectual Property Management
- Public Relations and Outreach
