On July 13th and 14th, “FY 2017 Summer Risk Management Orientation” by Kanazawa University Study Abroad Office took place, and 273 students attended the event. This was a university-wide scale orientation held for students who are going abroad this summer for the purpose of thorough implementation of on-campus procedures and improvement of risk management awareness for travelling overseas.
At the lecture, after an explanation of on-campus procedure by a Study Abroad Office staff, a specialized staff of overseas travel insurance and crisis management service designated by our university explained about accidents and thefts using case studies, characteristic of criminal methods and diseases in each country, avoidable risk, how to minimize the risk of crisis happening, etc., based on the latest crime and safety trends from overseas.
