On August 5, 8 Kanazawa University Health Care Center Student Crews and 2 international students volunteered at the 40th Tagami-Shinmachi Summer Festival as a part of student support program. This exchange between Tagami-Shinmachi Town Association and KU students began in FY 2010.

Participants assisted the locals in running booths, opened a handmade Okara (soy pulp) cookie shop and participated in BON ODORI (Bon Dance). Students enjoyed interaction with the local residents.
