On August 24, the Opening Ceremony for JICA Hokuriku-Kanazawa University Issue-Specific Training Course, “Educational Administration, Financial System and School Management for Expansion of Basic Education in Middle East” took place in Kakuma Campus.
The Director of JICA Hokuriku, Mr. Tomoki Nitta, and Professor Shunji Tanabe of the Institute of Human and Social Sciences, the Course Leader, offered their greetings, and the representative of the participants expressed his anticipation for the Course. The ceremony ended in good spirits.
On August 28, the participants paid a courtesy visit to Vice President Otani (International Affairs). At the meeting, the participants introduced themselves, and shared their impression of Kanazawa University in a lively conversation.
In the Course, 9 officers of educational departments from 3 nations, Egypt, Iraq and, Morocco, will participate in a program spanning from August 24 to September 8, and with Kanazawa University as the base, they plan to make interaction through observation of elementary and middle schools and other facilities with cooperation from the Educational Committee of Ishikawa, Kanazawa City, Hakusan City, etc. The participants are expected to make use of their experiences in Japan under this course, and take part in the improvement of school management in their own countries.
