On August 21, Kanazawa University hosted the 3rd THAILAND-JAPAN RESEARCH EXCHANGE JOINT SYMPOSIUM at SixERS ASEAN Platform (AP-SixERS) in Bangkok. Vice President Yoshio Otani and other 35 faculty staff members, graduate students and high school students from Kanazawa University took part in the event. From our partner institutions in Thailand, approximately 80 faculty staff members, graduate students and high school students from King Mongkut’s University of Technology-Thonburi(KMUTT), Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, and Prince of Songkla University participated.
Vice President Otani and Vice President of KMUTT, Dr. Pornnapit Darasawang, opened the symposium. Then the researchers from both countries spoke in parallel sessions about their researches in the areas of biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical & information engineering and environmental technology. The Japanese and Thai graduate students and high school students also did poster presentations on their researches.
It was an essential opportunity to promote research exchanges and collaborations between the universities in both countries.
