On March 2, “Advanced Example of Classes Taught in English – Report from Akita International University- (KU-GLOCS ACT.0)” took place at the General Education Hall 1, Kakuma Campus. Prof. Hiromi MAENAKA, Director of the Center for Promotion of International Liberal Arts Education and the Faculty of International Liberal Arts Global Studies Program, Akita International University, gave a presentation on how to teach international liberal arts and how to improve the students’ English skills. Afterwards, Lecturer Shuhei TAKEMOTO of Akita International University introduced some examples of the classes taught in English and explained how to manage the classes effectively. There were active discussions and the participants shared the cases of one of the highly globalized universities in Japan.
This seminar provided much information for Kanazawa University to promote the globalization of the university and to develop human resources to lead the global society.
