On December 19, Kanazawa University hosted the “Study in Japan Online Fair (Thailand),” which was attended by 15 institutions from Japan and about 60 people, mostly high school students from Thailand.
Using “Remo Conference,” implementing social lounge feature, this fair was held mainly for high school students and teachers enrolled in science schools in Thailand as a part of “Study in Japan Global Network Project” which was re-commissioned by Okayama University.
In the main venue, participants were able to have individual consultations with the person in charge of each institution and in the sub venue, they watched introductions of each institution.
As a pre-event of the fair, we also held a Japan-Thailand research presentation contest (KAGAYAKI AWARD) for Thai high school students enrolled in science schools in Thailand and some Japanese guest high school students). We received 27 applications for this contest, and judges were selected from the 15 organizations mentioned above to select the best research presentations. Six groups of winners were announced on the day of the fair.
