From October 23 to 25, 2017, the Fourth Japan-Indonesia Rectors’ Meeting took place in Surabaya, Indonesia, and President Koetsu Yamazaki and 3 other delegates from Kanazawa University attended the event. The themes of the meeting were “Academic cooperation among universities,” “Cooperation in innovation and research” and “Enhancing cooperation with the business sector.” Participants took part in specific discussions on the future exchanges in education, research and collaboration with the business sector.

The next meeting will be hosted by Hiroshima University in 2019, and there is anticipation for promoting further international exchanges between Indonesia and Japan.
