On November 18, “Career×Global Seminar –The Type of Individuals Needed by the Future Society–” took place, and approximately 80 participants including students of Kanazawa University and other universities, KU faculty and staff attended the event. This seminar was organized and implemented by KU-SGU Student Staff*, and it aimed to provide our students with ideas to make their careers plans based on a global point of view and their study abroad experiences.

In the first half of the event, Mr. Chikara Funabashi, Project Director of “Japan Public-Private Partnership Student Study Abroad Program: TOBITATE! Young Ambassador Program,” presented his special lecture. He shared his ideas about what type of individuals will be needed in the future society and what kind of experience can be gained from study abroad. His passionate lecture captured the audience’s attention.

In the latter half, Mr. Funabashi facilitated a panel discussion, and four KU students and a Chuo University student shared their experiences about how their study abroad affected their career plans. There were active discussions between the panelists and the participants even after the event.

Afterwards, Mr. Funabashi paid a courtesy visit to President Koetsu Yamazaki, and a lively discussion took place about “TOBITATE! Program.”
