In July 10 – 15, 2016 Kanazawa University, International Students Center (KU-ISC) jointly with the United Nations University Instituted for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), organized the intensive course towards the “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS, Learning from Kanazawa City”. This course was aimed to experience the sustainable lifestyle, to learn about the consequences of our daily life activities, and what kind of changings should be done in our everyday life activities to contribute for the better life on earth.
At the first day, students received the lectures organized by the Institute of Nature and Environmental Technology, and later they visited the sustainable sectors, such as: Renewable energy sectors, Urban waste power plants, Landfills, Recycling facilities, Water purification, Wastewater management sectors, Local forestry and others. The final Workshop was held at the end of the course. Later all students shared their presentation and their work was published in the final reports.
